6 + 2 Point Deductions

Because there is the pressure from government to regulate football more effectively, and the government is pushing to introduce an independent regulator, believing (rightly) that they can’t manage themselves. A popular theory, that I’m inclined to agree with, is that Everton are an easy target to clobber with heavy sanctions to show they can regulate themselves effectively. We’re big enough to matter, but not big enough to trouble the top 6 cartel.

How is clobbering a club with heavy sanctions a way of showing they can regulate effectively?

If they had an independent regulator in place they would be coming down on us like a tonne of bricks.

I'm not sure where the 1m figure has come from, not seen it anywhere myself. However regarding the current rules, we'd get a 6 point deduction for being 1 million or 1 penny over. Truly insanity to me that.
They're not the current rules. If they were the rules used by the commission for the first charge, the whole thing should be thrown out.

Jumpers for goalposts wasn’t it?
Playing until you get called in for tea
Supporting your team by getting to the game whenever you can

All replaced by made up punishments that have nothing to do with the game (all because we dared build a state of the art stadium), VAR nonsense which means you don’t even celebrate goals properly now and referees who make it up as they go along (see Tarkowski booking today and tell me why it was needed)

If it's anything like last time all they will say is that we have been referred to the Independent Commission. They gave no more detail last time.
Hope the club fleshes it out for the sake of the fans, if there is a genuine reason for confidence. They obviously won’t, but for as many supporters who can say they are done with the PL and smash their SkyQ remote, there will be thousands that this will genuinely upset, sport or not. And it’s all about the fans supposedly.

This whole affair will ruin the Premier League ‘brand.’ The biggest winners from this will be la liga or bundesliga. TV/ popularity will very quickly start to evaporate when the final league table is decided by court cases instead of football matches. See Serie A for evidence.

It won't, because they only people they're bothered about are the people who support the teams they aren't gunning for.

Let's be honest. Nobody outside of ourselves gives a * about Everton or Forest in the modern game. We are nothing and don't matter, if we drop we'll be forgotten about and end up the EFLs problem. You truly believe the plastics will really care about this?

The only reason Carragher and that say it's bad is because he wants Liverpool to inherit Citys titles.
