I'm not really on about changing allegencies, suddenly going out and buying the brighton kit or singing some other clubs song as I walk down the street.
More a putting-it-out-there, wondering if you can take a more active interest in a different club. Still have everton in your heart but concentrate more time and effort into appreciating a different team, their players and their style?
Certainly hell of a lot of teams I'd rather have my balls cut off then considering following them that's for sure.

As said, it's not a fragile minded, thrown rattle out of pram cos we are struggling, knee jerk reaction.
I doubt it's even possible.
I've woken up this morning and spent the whole saturday morning talking and reading about everton. Sun's out here, and I'm feeling sad about the club. Not healthy.
Its the lifelong addiction of supporting the blues, I've said many times on here its more of an addiction than a passion nowadays for me.
I couldnt imagine my life without Everton in it but it would certainly be better if they wasnt.

Not for me.

I barely like Everton these days and hate every other club.

If Everton was to go, I would just enjoy football, without the stress.

I don't think I would watch football anymore certainly not professional football.

The funds to do what?

When and to whom have they proved that they have the funds to take over and run Everton?
The funds to complete the purchase of FM's shares.

They have proved this to Moshiri, the Government regulators and Deloitte who are brokering the deal.

Clinging on to some hope that they haven't got the resources to complete the takeover is pure fantasy.

I've supported Everton my whole life since watching the magnificent team of the 80's. I've been through the generally shocking tines since (especially the pre-moyes 90's) and in general loved the moyes era of pienaar/baines down left, the hairs standing on back of neck when you see a passionate cahill punching the corner flag after an amazing header etc.etc.
I wake up in the mornings and look on newsnow Everton, be part of the forums, watch our football when I can get a stream, watch the training vids when they come out, watch toffee tv, watch all the drone footage of the new stadium. Etc. Etc.

It's never ever been something I have considered, not even sure it's possible to do to try and ween myself off the club.
Ask myself do you stick with the mental health trauma whether we go into administration or not, whether we end up in league 1 or not.

Can it be done, I've no idea. But I do realise that it's a tortured existence that does genuinely affect your everyday mood and mental wellbeing. Should supporting football, which is just a sport at the end of the day, put you in the sort of constant negatively that's in the background of everyday life.

I've little doubt that even putting this out there will open up the ' well your not a real fan'.
I'd say currently, I spend way too much time thinking about EFC and allowing the anger and state of the club to get me down on a day to day basis.
It's a weird thing to even consider.
I've had the same thoughts. Can it be done?

If Everton was to go, I would just enjoy football, without the stress.
But if you HATE every other club why would you watch anyone else.?
If your like me, I take great pleasure in any bad result for our teams in europe. Love the turmoil with most other premiership teams, (like ten hag at united)
The only exception is the refreshigness of someone like Brighton who are well managed, brilliantly run and haven't massive egos like most of the so called big guns of the premiership. I wish I could ween myself off some of the relentless negatively of all aspects of our club and spend a bit more time enjoying something like what Brighton have going on.

Just would feel very strange paying more attention to another team.

Bit like cheating on the wife who you've grown to despise with a the happy go lucky bird down the street.

I met another London based Evertonian who recommended I join him at a casino on a Sunday night to watch the NFL. He is a big fan. I have to say I really enjoyed. Great atmosphere with lots of different teams represented with friendly non toxic banter. I will be going back and will take my time in carefully selecting my team. It will be nice to have a distraction. These last few years have taken there toll and you try to tell yourself something does not matter but you can’t switch off from 35 years of supporting something.

I could never support another team even in another country. Even if the club goes into administration it will be reformed and I will support that team as we journey back through the leagues
Don't pick a team! Imagine watching football and being completely neutral. I think that would be great.

If Everton went into the abyss and were no more, it'd take me a long while to come back to it, and I am not sure if I would. But definitely I would take the stress free option and enjoy it for what it is.

Roll on disaster and the imminent Saudi led Pro Ball League.

They have already proved to several regulators that they have the funds. If it doesn't go through it won't be because they don't have the funds.
When did they do this ?
Which regulators?
Where was this reported ?
I ask because as far as has been reported the fit and proper person process has just begun and is expected to take some time yet.

If I knew they had funds and genuinely had interest in concentrating on the team as much as this commercial stuff they keep going on about. Freeing as much funds as they are allowed to under ffp and not easily selling our best players, then I could maybe get my head around it.
There's no signs yet, that this is what they try to do.

Which Government regulators and why were they asked to provide assurances to the Government?
What do these government regulators regulate specifically?
As far as I understand they have yet to be approved by the FCA who are now part of the Fit and Proper persons process and which has just commenced .
You are not the first person to mention this rather vague Government regulators report and I am genuinely intrigued as to their identity and responsibilities ?

Has anyone anticipated that this 777 takeover might actually be a good thing and make us half-decent again?

Imagine that laaaa.
If you can provide evidence to support this view I would consider it .
But at present all the evidence is overwhelmingly negative and points strongly to the opposite conclusion.
So , can you provide any solid evidence to support your hope of a good outcome?
Or is it just unsubstantiated optimism that you peddle ?
Laaaaaa

We must be in a shockingly bad state that other parties have enquired and ran away from us. And if rumours are true that we are one foot through the door into administration, then where do we go.?

I imagine it will come to light that there was nobody else interested and we were a stones throw from going under without them.

I know they sound shocking and I don't want them, but I think we really have reached this low. If its administration or 777 which do you choose?
