Yet are getting the blame for their issues.....

Thats my point, its not true or even fair for all this negative lies.

Some of the stuff is valid, and without doubt we need to be cautious as fans about their personel.

But we all need to look at context of all the their ownerships / investments.
It's pretty common for people to not look into the issues themselves and just end up parroting negative stuff they see online without any knowledge on the subject. This isn't just with football either, it happens with so many topics.

Why are 777 getting a bad rep about Sevilla ??

Is it just that ppl want to be angry about everything ??
We don't want someone with drug connections, a history of unpaid bills and very questionable business arrangements with subsidiaries running our club.

Hard as it may be to believe, there are worse owners than Moshiri. He's incompetent, but at least he backed his incompetence with his own money for a good long while. What fans here want is what fans at any club want: owners who understand that they will come out ahead in this environment if they invest in a well-run club.

Admittedly, there aren't enough of those to go around in world football, or in most sports. Petrodollars are flowing into football because oil-producing countries understand they need to diversify. That's driving up prices overall, which is great for existing owners like the Glazers and Kroenke, but not so good for prospective owners. Current spending regulations also mean that a club like West Ham with revenue, little in the way of debt and a sweetheart lease is a lot more attractive for the sort of owner that's a good 'un than we are.

So we're dealing with lizards. A serious prospective owner would wait for a club with more short-run potential to become available, and the sort of investor coalitions that used to buy entire clubs now buy minority stakes in clubs like the RS instead. The short version is that we had our chance, mismanaged it and are now paying the price.

Not having what?

You honestly don't believe the Russian war had a big impact on the club? Jeez. It had a massive one - I've just shown you a trademark for USM Arena naming rights that has since been binned as just one example. All other existing sponsorship was pulled.

Usmanov/Moshiri can't access their money mate.
That that’s the big reason when prior to that we were spending like a drunken sailor and running up a huge wage turnover. If we were more sensible between 2016 and 2021 then we don’t get into money trouble, war or no war

IT should be said that we were firmly in the dirt before the war.

But yes, the war cut off all the taps and just made everything so much worse.

Im almost certain we wouldnt be having stadium funding issues without big Vlad taking the piss.

But we would probably still be crap.

The recovery money would have been there.

When did we borrow from Rights and Media Funding who apparently prevented MSP? - That doesn't happen and as you say, we wouldn't be entertaining 777.

You can criticise Moshiri/Usmanov's running of the club, while also acknowledging that Russia's war was/is a massive factor in how bad things have become.

oh mate no :(

I am quite frightened by this move if I am being honest, but it is more because there is so much opacity about the deal.

Is Moshiri only selling his shares on the cheap and will the club still owe the debts? Aren't the only pure profit assets at the moment Goodison and Pickford? We already have two first-team numbers who are just here for a season while also having the bulk of the payments for the signings made in the last two seasons due in the course of time. Aren't we overleveraged at the moment?

Is he doing this in anticipation of the upcoming FFP hearing? Suppose, if we were to dispute the verdict whatever it may be, and are subsequently referred to the football regulatory body. Any wrongdoings will be directed as investigations or sanctions against the individuals, no?

Less trouble mate, but any club with owners who have their access to cash stopped will struggle. There's a reason Roman Abramovich sold Chelsea so quickly.

Maybe wrong but investors can't leverage buyouts in the league anymore. They can only leverage 65% of the clubs value.

Moshiri isn't getting his money back in that sort of deal.

So anything it would be an investment and shareholder percentage.

These cats don't have the money. But like I've said before... they'll find a way and have club's around top European leagues to get something done.

Crooks always find a way
Didn’t know that! Very interesting. Cheers
