Having been involved in many an acquisition, it’s astounding that anything can happen unless the outcome of our P&S charge is already known.
We are all fairly confident there will be no points deduction. But would you be sure to the value of a hundred million or whatever our value would reduce by if we were guaranteed relegation, as Leeds value did? It would be like buying Boots or Next knowing there is a small possibility in the next month of the government closing half of your stores, massively devaluing the company you just bought giving you nothing in return and obviously reducing your ability to make profits in the upcoming years, allowing er Matalan () and Superdrug to romp into your market..

The reason is that this deal wouldn't be sorted before the outcome of that case. It's only 6 weeks away and anything we do usually takes at least 6 months to drag over the line.
If we were to be hit with a crippling fine or significant enough points deduction they could always pull out.

The issue with the PL due process is that it takes months and while it’s ongoing we’ll still be haemorrhaging cash and if at the end of it they decide 777 aren’t fit and proper we’ll be back to square one and hurtling towards insolvency with Moshiri still unable to put in cash to support us. So it’s another careful what you wish for.
Of course the way to avoid this is to start the process with a more credible investor but we can only pray one comes into the running quickly.

Yes I cant see a world where investment is made without knowing the outcome of that, and a positive outcome for the club.

Well The Esk claims they don't have the funding and one of the requirements in the test is proof of funds. If he's willing to put his money where his mouth is, there's no way they'll pass.
