What I meant is it's not going to as good as a proper academic researchers work. I think you are a tryer, but it's not quite there. 10/10 for effort tho.

This thread has taken a very odd turn. OldBlue really does like telling us about his books/himself. One might think it's a wum account.

You’re a bad lad DGLC… now you’ve got his name and photograph…if you get his address and bank accounts I’m reporting you….

High strung? Yer 'aving a laugh.

Nothing high strung about me after a heart attack in 2001 and a triple bypass in 2002. I'm relaxed, all the time, and laugh at the likes of you and others who get agitated by my posts. Another one who prejudges someone that they know absolutely next-to-nothing about. Another one who doesn't understand the piss-take on them with my posting that Stones number. Jeez.

The only thing strung with me over the decades has been the electric guitars I gigged with, and the acoustics that I have.

Happy now?
Why are you still so angry

Believe me, academics are up their own arses with their own 'theories', and those works I have read from academics are just so full of their own self-important writing that they are not worth much in terms of advancing the general public's knowledge. Why? Because they are writing for professors and other academics.

Without blowing smoke up my own ass, I would go with myself, Peter Cornwell, Chriss Goss, Andy Saunders, Simon Parry, Mark Postlethwaite, Christopher Shores, Michael Payne(RIP), Jochen Prien, Heinz Mankau, Peter Petrick, Eric Mombeeck, Peter Rodeike, Gerhard Stemmer, Hans Ring, Jean-Louis Roba, and loads more proper researchers.

Not as good as proper academic researchers? Not quite there? Oh dear, I'm laughing again. Try buying one of my books, reading it, and then saying that. Sorry, Dglc, what you said is a load of bollocks! Tell me, do you class yourself as an 'academic'...?
Now who is the fish on the rod biting.

Honestly mate, your "I've written 11 books and am very clever" shtick is hilarious.

You don't know me. But if you or anyone else wants to meet me, get down to the Hawkinge Battle of Britain Museum in Kent on either Saturday 10th or Sunday 11th August, where I'm giving short talks all day, each day. First one to make themselves known, I'll stand them a meal and a drink at the Battle of Britain pub, The Jackdaw, in Denton. Can't say fairer than that...
I was thinking that this was going to be the most old school straightener ever until the twist at the end.
