It's difficult to say for sure but when Ancelotti had the very good start to last season one game involved going behind to WBA before winning 5-2.Serious question here, you were annoyed we went behind as was I. What would Carlo have done to rescue the situation?
As enjoyable as winning is it's not unreasonable for some fans to see that there are obviously improvements to be made and take a calmer longer term view. Benitez probably sees more issues with the first half than anyone on here. And he probably has a few ideas about things that could have been done better even after the goal flurry.
As a fanbase we've enjoyed similar gulps of "fresh air" during promising starts seen by the like of Koeman in 16/17 and Ancelotti last year. Their subsequent collapses show that the opening few games do not make a season or cement a managers legacy at the club.
While there are probably a very, very small minority eagerly awaiting a slip from Benitez I think the notion that those not going wildly overboard about a good result against Burnley are somehow anti-Everton or "melts" is an odd one.
