The women have probably already gone to the Police and nothing has been done.

We have serious issues in the legal system that only 3 reported cases per 100 actually see a charge.

Well then the media outrage should be over that....not just an opportunity to make money when a famous person is rightly or wrongly accused....this isn't justice whatever way you view it

Rape shouldn't just matter when the media can profit from it

youtube have turned the adverts tap off from his videos.
georgina baillie has turned up on the news twice and said she wasn't abused, and the attitudes around the mid 2000's of slut shaming, victim blaming, and inventing 'shagger of the year' accolades was and is wrong. I don't like her particularly, but on these aspects she's right. Also brand paid for her time in addiction care/therapy.

There was a '00 band called 'be your own pet' from the US. They were 18ish and got pretty big over night, they were about to go on a world tour and a music exec asked the 18 year old singer to wear a t shirt which just said 'slut', obviously she said no and the major label stopped promoting them as much. So they stopped the band for over 15 years

I'm always very uneasy about trial by media....innocent until proven guilty goes out the door..

Maybe he's guilty, maybe he's not, at this point only the people involved know....

Court cases have the Prosecution side, and then the Defences....this documentary has just one side...

If he's guilty, then let the media go to town on him, and hopefully he spends many many years behind bars...

If these women can tell their story to the media, then why not go to the police..

For what it's worth, I don't like Brand, never found him funny, and he's the type of guy I loath....I hope this goes to the courts....

The danger of trial by media is....what if he's an innocent man?
Not meaning to have a go at you personally but I've seen this comment a few times in discussions of this sort and so wanted to address it.

The short answer from my point of view is that the two things are not equivalent.

Once you go the police you are taking the first steps along a long path to a criminal trial and involves significant commitment in both time and emotions. Some others on here will no doubt have a better idea of quite how many interviews, follow up questions etc the initial investigation involves but if the police are doing due diligence I would assume it to be quite a few. I hope that it is changing in practice but certainly for some police forces they do not have a good reputation about how this process is handled.

Then you need to pass the hurdle of whether there are enough legal grounds to charge - especially in historical cases there will likely not be much physical evidence so it will be even more of a "he said/she said" situation and the bar for legal proceedings is high.

If they do decide to press charges then it could be months or years before the actual case and during that time, at least in the UK, my understanding is that your therapy options are limited.
Being told not to speak about a profoundly traumatic event can be devastating for survivors going through the criminal justice system. Lucy – whose name we have changed at her request, to protect her privacy – went to the police in 2017 to report a historic incident involving sexual assault by penetration.
A few months after her initial report, the 26-year-old from London was told of the restrictions around therapy by the lead police officer investigating her case. "You have this thing that you are carrying around that you literally cannot talk about to your friends, your family, your therapists, anyone," she says.
...
The inability to access mental health support throughout a lengthy criminal trial can have devastating and profound consequences. "The real life impacts of women not being able to access specialist support services are severe and far-reaching," Hitchen says. "It can result in suicidality, or turning to other forms of coping mechanisms, such as alcohol, drugs [and] self-harm. It can result in increased anxiety, depression… lack of employment, break down of relationships, struggling to care for dependents. The range of impacts can be really, really vast."

Assuming you have got through all of that then there is the trial itself where victims may fear they may be as much on trial as the accused - will your history (sexual, financial, criminal, substance use etc, therapy notes) potentially be made public? Especially if the defendant is a wealthy/public figure such as Brands will you be doxed or intimidated by some of their fans?

Thankfully myself, and no-one close to me, has ever had to go through the process and so would welcome those more informed who could correct any misunderstandings. However at the least these are my perceptions are a woman and I have to say (despite several advantages over some victims like a supportive family) I really am not convinced I'd be able to go through all the hoops to trial so am not sure I would take the first step to report to the police even in a regular case let alone one involving a high profile figure like Brands.
