We were putting on 'electro' and later dubstep nights at the time in Oxford, in small venues thinking it would be just our mates and we'd just lose money every time. But we got a huge influx from that area of London (you could get a 24 hour bus to Oxford that was very cheap) saying how laddish and awful it was around there at that time

Seemed like sex was promoted in such an extreme way back then that there was so much pressure on young people to be reckless and promiscuous.
I went to so many indie nights back then and the scenes were awful looking back.
I’d like to think a lot of that has changed now. So many boundaries were crossed. I think the young girls felt pressured to go along with a lot of it because it was kinda cool to go with the indie lads, because of people like Russell brand.
