Just watched that three on one with Harrison again. He runs right in front of Harrison taking away DCL as an option, then by the time Harrison reacts to that Doucoure is offside. No wonder Harrison shot. My lord.

Harrison had plenty of time to play in DCL before Doucoure 'interfered'. The fault lay with Harrison, let's not re-invent history,

His positioning as a forward/10 in and around the box is excellent. Look at the space he made for his goal and the run he made between the CBs for his chance

I always worry when a player plays his socks off in the year before contract expires. Dyche knows exactly how to use him though and he seems happy here and you can't argue with the goal return.

By god I wish he would just learn how to control a footy every now and again though FFS lol

Only a one year deal is good for us, if he's happy rolling on like that then we can judge by his performances whether or not to continue. It means we can never really get any money back for him but at this stage rather not get stung keeping him for longer sitting on the bench on good money if his levels drop.

One year extension feels about right to me. We have so many players out of contract this summer so extending him makes sense, but a longer term deal for a player in their 30s would also have been risky. We can re-assess in a year's time and negotiate another extension if his performances are good.

I cringed when he stumbled around and broke up that 3 on 1, but he put a shot on frame with some malice off that header from Dom, top drawer save to keep that out.

He works. He works and he bleeds blue. We can upgrade to a silky passer at 10 and look for quality all over the pitch and there will still be a place for him. No brainer for me.

That's why he's playing for us and not PSG or a top 6 team. Useful at present for his workrate and effort though. Rather him than the likes of Iwobi as he does score goals as well.
