Has anyone got the stats on how far he runs in a game? Sometimes off the Baal work is as important. His goals so far this season also helps.

I cringed when he stumbled around and broke up that 3 on 1, but he put a shot on frame with some malice off that header from Dom, top drawer save to keep that out.

He works. He works and he bleeds blue. We can upgrade to a silky passer at 10 and look for quality all over the pitch and there will still be a place for him. No brainer for me.

Certainly a limited footballer but I Iike his commitment, and more importantly, his goals.

This is fine by me. He does enough to warrant an extension and is a critical member of the squad.

Well earned, has worked his socks off under Dyche. When we press he is arguably the most important player and the trigger for it, he also looks like he will get 8-10 a season under Dyche.

We will of course hope to improve on him but having him here for 2 seasons makes that transition less dramatic.

Definitely earned an extension.
Our transfer power in windows is clearly very limited these days so would be madness to let him go end of the season
He scores goals and is a pest on the 'grass' so I'm happy to see him stay for a while longer

Always a fan of someone who goes proper mental after they score. We've had plenty of chancers in recent years who either don't care or don't want to be here and Doucs is clearly one who does so I'm pleased he's sticking around.

the grief he gets is bizarre

yes i’d rather have Maddison there but we aren’t that team at the moment. he kept us up (not just Bournemouth but a few other crucial goals) and is one of our key performers and threats currently

ideally yes he’ll be phased out to a point when we don’t need him, but the contract extension and his place in the starting 11 is warranted

However much you love the club, you should NEVER refuse to train and sit on the ball infront of 40000 people.

We need work rate and goals and he provides both. We also have seen how useless this team can be without him.

Don't care that he is not most technically gifted, he is a problem in the box for opposing teams. And considering that who knows what will come of this financial charge, transfer ban, we've got to keep him for another year.

I'm frankly shocked he agreed to just a 1 year deal instead of leaving on a free to Saudi. I think he truly does love playing at Everton.
