Agreed. Velios looked good again tonight. Strong, worked hard and unfortunate not to get a goal. Maybe could've reacted quicker and got across his man when the ball was played in low from the flank one time (from Baines I think), but did well overall.

Connor Grant definitely one for the future too.

I seem to recall a couple of times hearing Graham Sharpe saying "another great cross in by coleman but there was nobody there"

Gueye was terrible when he first came in, but grew into the game and showed some deft touches. Some neat passing too in the last 20 minutes. Having said that, he was REALLY bad for the first 25 of the second half.

It does look somewhat like he's playing on the surface of the moon with it's reduced gravity effect on him.

hopefully junior will be given time against blackburn to give us a better idea whether he could be an answer. Seen him kick the ball away furiously after the whistle, think it was because he had 2 touches of the ball and cocked them both up. Lundstram is also an option, but i would prefer a more experienced backup than those two.
