Don’t disagree there but why not?

Why didn’t Stones, Lukaku, Barkley want to stay?

Lukaku said it and they all clearly agree that this project doesn’t stack up and it’s a load of shabite

Very different situations there mate.
Stones and Lukaku were hugely sought after players who were first choice for Everton and earned themselves moves to clubs in the Champions League who we forced to pay huge amounts for at the time. Any efforts to keep them were futile because the clubs coming in for them had huge pulling power.

Lookman is different. He's not an established first team player, he's never been happy since he got here, and there isn't a queue of bigger clubs lining up for him. He's absolutely desperate to play first team football seemingly, and he's obviously already had a great experience at the very club that have come in for him. They're not a bigger club really, and can't outmuscle us financially, but the player is dead set on leaving and it isn't healthy for him or the club to keep him. Added to which we can't promise him first team football because we've just spend £35m on a player who plays in his position.

This has nothing to do with the ambition of Everton. It's a simple case of a player desperately wanting guaranteed first team football and for some reason not liking the lifestyle he has in Liverpool.

Why on earth would that set any alarm bells ringing?

Great point. Sometimes I forgot that everything that happens is because the club is incompetent and the board are all frauds and everyone who doesn't agree is a sunshine-pumping dupe. Thank you for mentioning this in every post you make.

Thing is you make remarks like this but it’s just makes you look a meff not me. So carry on but if you want a constructive conversation let me know

The situations of Stones, Lukaku, and Barkely are totally analogous with Lookman's. Totally. Can't differentiate between them at all. May as well go further back and question why Rooney and Lescott wanted out.

We all have blue tinted glasses but Lukaku totally outgrew us, we couldn’t offer him anything in the way of challenging for titles or playing in Europe and United will always pay the big bucks (it does seem now like he made the wrong move in terms of wanting to win things).

Stones got the chance to work under arguably the best manager in the world at the club with the best project in the country and a club backed by an actual state. Never holding on to him with that one.

Barkley was dreadfully mismanaged by his agent, fell out of love with the club and if I’m honest, had he not been a local lad and a blue people would probably not be massively arsed about the whole thing.

As for Lookman, we have a new project now, I think his circumstances are down to a bullish personality, arrogance (not a bad trait for a footballer) and Everton not doing right by him last season. If our assurances of football and attempts to make him feel welcome again from a new regeime and in a new season aren’t good enough, then what else can the club do other than let him go?

The concern is threefold, how he was mishandled, a quality English youngster no longer sees us as a place that trusts in youth and that in a few years he will be a missed opportunity and playing at a higher level than we are at. But these are problems mainly caused by Koeman/Walsh/Big Sam. I would hope Silva can build back our reputation for developing young players.
