He's at his best when he's on the left. Not sure how it'd work out for him replacing Walcott on the right if I'm being honest.

He looked very accomplished last night on the left.

If we want to compete for trophies and in Europe we need 2 high quality sides to rotate, so I don't see an issue in regards to who comes in or out. The 6 clubs we are aiming to compete with have £30m-£50m players on the bench constantly.

THIS THIS THIS

A big reason he has not been that good IMO is that he has been played on the right. For England and Charlton he was much more left sided and seems much more suited to it.

Do we drop Bernard for him?? No, not too sure how it would work tbh. He needs to come on for Bernard after an hour and see how he does

Silva has said Bernard can be effective on the right of midfield as well.

Possible that Lookman could go on the left and Bernard on the right. Would imagine they’d rotate positions at various points in the match as well.

Would be a serious nightmare to mark from the oppositions viewpoint!

yEH, IF bERNARD CAN SWAP WINGS THEN THAT WOULD BE THE BETTER OPTION.

Hm, moving our legit CL level left winger over to a position he knows less to accomodate a young winger who’s done nothing to really even be in the picture for the starting eleven? To me, that sounds like a «how to get less out of Bernard» more than «lets get more out of Lookman». Either way, Id much rather have a Bernard fiering on all cylinders than Lookman doing the same.

Hate to sound petty but here it is

Rubbed me the wrong way that when he scored last night he didnt make a single gesture towards our fans

Also same thing when be provided the assist for Calvert Lewin last week

I get the feeling he still has his eyes on the door

Or he could just be treating the game as it was, a friendly against some utter no marks.

If I'm not mistaken nobody did any celebrating when they scored, it was just high fives and then kick off.

that is petty like, what do you want him to do? jump into the park end and start lighting flares

don't even think id celebrate scoring past them
