Ademola Lookman

Our problem is we do not have a clue what goes on behind the scenes. People guess and make wild assumptions. However it is very normal to wonder how a player as bad as Walcott has been, can keep out the obvious deputy, Lookman. That indicates Lookman must be, for good reasons unknown to ourselves, unsuitable to be picked. Guess away, you may never find out why.

Would be interesting to learn how much hw thinks Konate and Upamecano are valued at and if Augustin would be a reasonable fee as were rumoured to be after him
.
Also if he thinks leipzig may be back in for lookman and if they would bid over £20mil this time.
Augustin is apparently our main striker target which i find slightly odd tbh, he is a great all round player but he is not a great goalscorer, i know he reckons Upamencano will probably stay in Germany, no idea about Konate, i will ask him.

I think the main problem is that Walcott is the only "natural" Right Forward/Winger.

Sure you could try Lookman, Bernie or Rico there and they might do a good job, I suspect with regards Walcott is all about sunk cost fallacy, same with Iceland to a degree, but at least Iceland produces.

Didnt I read sommet about Walcott being able to occupy a fullback better than most? In other words, he might not have a great end product, but he contributes to stopping a full back bombing on.

Or I meant have dreamt it.

No its plain to anybody who watches our games, he might be terrible on the ball and he might miss chances, but he does keep a fullback busy, that cant be disputed.

LOTS.

Im interested even if we arent in for them...because if we focus on the source (France) like West ham did with Diop its interesting to compare values of CBs who moved to England and Germany -- direct to prem or with a stop on the way.

Augustin is absolutely rapid mate and i think we may use him on the right as well...perhaps hes seen as a direct Walcott replacement

Id say he was a goalscorer, scores when he starts but only getting sub games this season in the main.

I really like him.

At some stage in the derby last weekend Walcott was described as timid and I though it described what is wrong with him at the moment very well.
He just doesn't seem as committed as before and will not now compete in a challenge that is anything close to 50/50.

But, he is a good footballer, absolutely rapid and does his shift defensively. I just think he is capable of so much more.

Hopefully the chance will come for Lookman , but if it is true that the Leipzig centre forward is our primary target then Lookman moving to Leipzig to facilitate that deal may be an option.

Go support another team if you want to see Konate and Upamecano.

Id really like us to sign Augustin tbh, i really rate him, he can play anywhere in the front three, but i fear some on here will moan that he does'nt score enough, he only has 6 goals this season, but yeah mostly sub games like you said.

I can see the attraction.

He is a really good all round player who can play anywhere upfront, and as you can see by that video defenders are left for dead by that frightening pace of his let alone his skill on the ball. I just think the usual suspects on here will moan that he does'nt score 50 goals a season. Although i think a frontline of Augustin, Richarlison, and Bernard would be a pretty good one, loads of pace and skill, no fullbacks are going to be attacking against those 3 imo.
