I was thinking basics like being able to trap a ball, pass accurately, make incisive runs, take shots on target.... he seems pretty good at all those basics when he plays.
I would proffer that the issue is not a debate about his quality but one that centres around our own ability to keep a player of that quality sitting on the bench or in the stands on a Saturday afternoon, week in, week out.

I think the skillset is there for all to see and not debatable.
He's had 3/4 managers since he's been here and not one trusts him.

20m for a player who has made 3 starts is a no brainer, Southampton will probably sell him for 40 min because he'll start every week and show how good he is but that's Football.

We played hardball with RBL last season and they offered slightly more than 20mil in the end, which we turned down.
