Is it though? He's just not getting in and not making enough of an impact when he does. I wanted it to work as I do think he has potential but I can't see him reaching it with us now. He just doesn't seem happy too. So why turn down 20m plus?

The long and short of it is: he’s not as good as Richarlison or Bernard and Walcott has done more off the bench than him.

Not as good as Bernard but he managed to double Bernard's goal contribution this season in the space of 10 Bundesliga games

Or De Bruyne or Lukaku. Actually specifically with De Bruyne I remember a lot of the bad attitude and doesn't work hard enough criticisms being thrown at him before he lit up the Bundesliga.

I would have liked him to be given more of a chance for two seasons running but the chances he has had he hasn't taken and he hasn't been trusted for whatever reason. There's potential and believing in youth and I do but there comes a point where you have to move on. It just isn't working out for me.

What chances has he not taken? In the 3 games he’s started, he scored in one and assisted another. And normally he only gets 10 odd minutes here and there. When he does come on, he looks lively and creates (his assist to DCL for example). Or like with spurs, his direct dribbling created our first, and he was there at the corner to hit the ball towards Tosun for the 2nd.

I think its cos hes done the grand total of naff all in an Everton shirt mate.

So much hope, but lets be honest hes done nada.

Of course there were the rumours, started mainly by Red Bull that he really wanted to join them perma, then our manager comes out and says hes not pulling his weight in training and he needs to show more desire to play.

Thats where the negativity comes from, IMO.

He gets a start against Bournemouth and has a solid performance with an assist, starts the next week and is decent despite a defeat and then starts the Millwall catastrophe where everyone is awful and gets dropped for the rest of the season. I don't think he was so bad as to deserve that myself.

Very skilful player, gets minimal gametime, shows talent and bright sparks when he does play, good record in the Bundesliga (better than the other wingers here), and only 21 years old
