Haha fair point! The broader point I suppose is more that we may see young players moved on who are decent, or are close to the first team if the deals right.

We are dealing in hypotheticals, but lets say we sign Kean or Augustin from Leipzig. They need a year to settle. Calvert Lewin continues to improve his output, and starts converting chances next season a bit more, maybe he ends up with 12/13 league goals. I wouldn't be surprised if in some situations like that the player is moved on for good money as part of a broader strategy knowing one of the other lads is ready to come in.

A better example this summer may be Holgate. Done perfectly well but maybe not quite good enough. If we got a decent fee he could go.

I have stated that we may need to look at why Vlasic and Lookman, over the last 2 years haven't had more exposure in an Everton team who have been pretty dire over that time.

In the worst run of last season lookman was completely sidelined after a very good start to the campaign. He looked a new player from last season... my mind boggled

By most accounts Lookman has a poor attitude and Vlasic, I think is not suited to the PL.

Yes which could be the end conclusion of it. I think we lost Lookman in his first 18 months and the sporadic treatment he had. The lad probably lacked the maturity to understand that a change of regime could have given him ample chances. However 20 is very young and I can understand why he probably struggled to see it.

Neres is just as unproven as Lookman is. If Lookman had gotten the kind of chances last season as Neres he may have been in the England squad. And let's just say there's a reason Bernard isn't in the Brazil squad anymore. A reason that I think a lot of our fans are going to get hit by in the coming months.
