Has potential, but it wont be fulfilled at Everton. Maybe it's his attitude, bad luck, bad management.... who knows. But one thing is for certain, it's not working for him and we need to push on and signing players like Malcom Kean would show we have moved on from players like him.

I mean that's the conclusion you were always going to draw but realistically if the 7th place Bundesliga team can take Chelsea to pens than 3-6 wouldn't be overmatched either. Premier League fans are getting very high and mighty over ONE successful European campaign. This probably will mark a shift because the Prem money is overwhelming but writing off players from Germany as being in a poor league is laughable right now.

£18mil + £4.5mil add ons seems a very reasonable deal to me.

It started with people basically saying him playing well in Germany doesn't matter and that's true on some level but saying it's because Germany is a farmers league isn't.

Anyway we wouldn't go for less than 30m last year and now if we do sell for 23m a year on we've played ourselves massively.

As much as I would have hated it, Silva and Brands needed to be honest about where he was and sell him for the 25m or whatever it was RBL got to last summer if they didn't think at a minimum he was above Walcott in the order.

They didnt bid anywhere near that...was lower than £20mil last year.
 

If they really and truly have come up to 23 million, I suspect we might tell them to add 2-3 million onto the initial fee, with a total fee of 25 million and we will accept. Just seems to have no future here, and if we can replace him with Malcom for just 10 million net spend that would be fantastic business IMHO

To be honest, just getting £25mil would be amazing based on his minutes last season.
