What striker would we have bought for 25m last year which would have drastically changed our fortunes? Going off of those who moved and those who we know to have been available (we can assume most other options would have been more than 25m)

There's no agenda, there's n obsession. It's called taking a football club to account for being hopeless for a quarter of a century - a club like THIS one.

I do. It's caricature the way my view of him is leaped on and re-presented. He's had a decent start to his career with Everton, but there have been glaring errors Walsh would certainly have been pilloried with.

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz you just regurgitate the same stuff, You know why Baines is fine as a 1 season back up to the Prince Digne stop acting like it's one of the worst decisions ever when Baines is better than a good chunk of starting Premier League LB's.
dave we've got the 2nd joint youngest squad in the league, Delph is a fine addition for 8.5m brings heaps of experience from Guardiola and can play in Multiple positions even LB so you can use your "Well what if Digne gets injured!???????? we'd have to rely on old man Baines!"

Michy Batshuayi went to Palace on loan; we could have got Tielemans in on loan to add some punch from in behind the strikers; Gabbiadini went to Napoli for £14M.

Tielemans isn’t a striker and we already have sigurdsson.

The other two are terrible.

There's always an excuse trundled out for Brands.

The far more peresuasive assessment is to ask what tangible benefit was made through delaying his departure from last summer to this one. There are none. Ergo, it was a bad decision.

Not really tho Dave, it was Silva and brands first season and they obviously saw something in him they thought they could develop. For whatever reason he hasn’t forced his way in and we are getting basically the same money that was offered last year. If they sold him and he turned into a 50m player over the last year you would have been straight into brands for letting him go to early without looking at him. Signing sandro, bolasie, mirrallas extension.... they were bad decisions not keeping a young player to see if he could push on and getting the same fee ( which is double what we paid) as we were offered last year.

We'd score more with him and concede less...he's a better player than Lookman, crazy to think otherwise

Bernard is massively overrated by fans who act like they’ve never seen a flair player before, 1 goal all season and 15 goals in 95 in the Russian league. Lookman is the far better dribbler, goalscorer, creator/playmaker and quicker as well, no comparison

£22.5 is very good money for him to be fair. Puts us at a current net profit for this window and frees up funds for us to improve our squad
