The lad must be fairly wealthy by now and has a bit of an ego,it'll be interesting to see if he finds a place somewhere or just goes on to waste his obvious talent.
 
I think Newcastle would be a daft move.

He should stay in Germany and ask to go on loan to a side who would guarantee him games...get a run under his belt like Kenny and then return to Leipzig full of confidence.

Nah. I just like him, liked his talent and never believed that he did anything wrong. I think his lack of success here is an indictment of our failings as a club. And I kind of want him to succeed so it is laid bare how much of a shambles we have been. If Vlasic ever moves to a league in the Western World again I'll be the same way with him.

I tend to agree with that. We seem to get youngsters to burst on to the scene early and look great then to so quickly go missing and evaporate. We seem to want to protect them at first but it always ends up negatively for the player.

And don't get me wrong I want to see success here first. But I also think if we had someone do what De Bruyne has done to Chelsea it might wake someone up.

I’m in agreement with both these quote. One of our problems with youngsters is we expect them to be the finished article after a handful of games. Unless your a Wayne Rooney we are so quick, as fans, to judge imo. Rooney being an exception as we all knew how good he was at such a young age.

Rooney was built like a 25 year old at 16 so he was fine, plus he had all the ability in the world. Like you said, us as fans build them up way to quickly, the same will happen with Gordon if he gets a game or two.

We brought Lookman in and looked nice and technical but woefully out of his depth on his appearances, not once did he do anything that made me believe we have a player...
 

Yes bizarre stuff. Seems like people see a player display some attributes in 1 or 2 games and it sticks forever.

Lookman made some fleeting, easy on the eye sub appearances for us, absolutely nothing of substance.

He had a good spell in Germany but has now lost his way. One of our few financially successful player turnarounds.
