Ademola Lookman

Oh the poor thing, all those different managers overlooking him.

Its them, not him.

Maybe he should go work in IT, cos hes clearly never gonna make it as a footballer.
Maybe not as a world class footballer but he will be playing football health permitting until he's 30 at least.

I just find the idea that a player moving clubs in an attempt to play more is a negative indictment of his character to be completely absurd. These guys have about 15 years to play this sport. Why should anyone be expected to sit on the bench for half a season when there's hundreds of clubs around? I don't fault anyone for not accepting that.

Obviously not.

My turn now: How is that proof that Everton are making the right decisions with young players?

We played Vlasic and Lookman, neither took their chances, granted they werent given loads, but still, we are a struggling premier league club, we cant afford to keep playing people who have done nothing in the game.

Its not perfect, players like Duffy and now Lundstram go away and make something of their careers, but they are quite rare, the majority go onto to do nothing, for now Lookman has done utterly nothing and Vlasic has played in the Siberian league that Niasse shone in.

Well I’d say that this time the club made a correct decision with a young player, as he sulked his way out of Everton and we made a nice profit in him.

He’s currently doing the same at RBL, so it appears that in this instance that the club did indeed make the right decision.

Yet we can afford to keep playing Walcott and Bernard who continue to do nothing but without the hope that they will ever do something.

I like that the idea of signing a talented youngster and failing to develop him at all is a positive for the club so long as we get an extra few million back that is really nothing more than an increase due to the overall inflation in transfer fees.

This is surely how we will end the 25 year drought.

Both have done vastly more in the game than Lookman and Vlasic will ever do.

Both have played in World Cups, won trophies, fought for a spot in a decent side.
What have they done for Everton? If we signed 19 year old Walcott or 22 year old Bernard that would be different. Right now they're generously average with no hope of ever being more again.

Even if it includes flawed individuals, who act like children when they don’t get their own way ?

No thanks.

And Lookman and Vlasic are moody little tarts who want their careers handed to them on a plate, neither of whom did ZIP for Everton.

Walcott and Bernie have at least contributed.

Walcott got all mad because he wasn't playing and went to Silva about it. But instead of being shown the door he gets another chance. But sure only the young players are moody.

I'd love to see how Bernard and Walcott got on if they had to watch players as crap as them play instead for 6 months straight.
