His talent is not up for debate, very talented boy, but manager after manager doesn't pick him and then sells him, 5 or 6 of them now, in 3 years.

Since he went there he's started every league game apart from the first and last one ?

Wasn't even in the FA cup squad so possibly recovering from a slight knock or something

He looks to be their main outlet. As highlighted when he came on

TBF the vast majority of managers (certainly most of the ones in his career) are people focused on the short term, without any real ideas of their own and unwilling to challenge orthodox tactics and thinking. 99% of his problems are because he is clearly smaller than other players and most managers think grocks are best.

He's looked alright for Fulham, a relegation favourite.

David Brooks did the same thing for Bournemouth that he's doing for them and nobody was falling over themselves last year telling us to sign him.

I don't think there's many managers in the world who don't think short term.

Disagree. He's got all the talent and ability to go past a man but he doesn't have the best understanding of the game. He's very Barkley, but Barkley is a better player.

I hope the people who don't think he's anything special think the same of Saint Maximin and Traore. I know it's early days for this season but he can beat a man as easily as them but looks to have more end product (something he can still improve for sure)

I'm not saying he is anything special but in terms of taking people on he's doing as much as them, and they are two players who flatter to deceive when it comes to the old goals and assists

Traore didn't flatter to deceive last year at all, but that looks like an outlier at this point. I've seen Fraser mentioned and he's the same. Saint-Maximin I'd put firmly in the who knows category because aside from Burnley and maybe Sheffield United no one plays worse attacking games than Newcastle.

Lookman is none of them though. He's had two extended runs of first team football in his career and he's been productive in both. His issue is simply getting on the field.

He's quite good at understanding where space is and how to attack it.

I know it is easier to think he's all natural ability which makes an easy excuse for leaving him out but he's got a decent head on him too. I mean go watch his 30 minutes yesterday and tell me he's not got any vision or brain to what he's doing. You'd be lying.
