Ok well he didn’t fit into our system so we bombed him out, don’t know what the meltdown is for in here really.

I'm saying we should have sold him when he asked for it if we weren't actually going to make him part of the team. We wasted that year.

He fell out of favor because he didn't fit the new manager's system at RBL.

He didn't? We play with a left winger and he's a left winger so I think that is a fit.

RBL play a 3-5-2 type where the left wing is primarily occupied by the fullback so he really doesn't fit into that. I wouldn't say it is the same at all.

Who said any of that? Why are you getting so angry and worked up because not everyone thinks selling Lookman was a disaster?

Well he wasn’t a very good left winger for us so I imagine the idea was to move on to a better left winger.

Well you've called him a little helmet in this very thread, numerous people have called him a snake/rat since he left and lots of people have questioned his attitude and work rate (which is probably a fair criticism of his time at Everton) so I think my little summary is fairly accurate.

Not sure why you consider me taking the piss out of irrational fans = 'so angry'. If that's what you consider angry you must consider yourself to be positively fuming in order to label someone a little helmet.

I was questioning why people are bemoaning the decision to sell him as if it was some piece of terrible business on our part. He never looked like he wanted to play for us at any point in his career, so I don’t know what good it would’ve done to keep him around. It’s not “overly emotional” to dislike a player that displayed a poor attitude during his time with the club either, if anything feeling to need to defend every ex-player from criticism and mockery is an overly protective trait.
