It's a weird one because he wanted to go back to RBL and the people running the transfers still wanted him, but they switched managers and systems to something he didn't fit in. I wouldn't draw too many conclusions from it.

He fits the system he's just crap compared to the other players.

But again...is he fighting for a place or just jumping ship like he did with us?

Cos I wouldn't be surprised if he just took his ball home the minute things got tough

You'll never agree so I'm probably not going to bother posting past this but for me they have attackers either in striker position or in narrow creative positions and while he can fit either of these spots neither is natural for him. This season they've gotten weird because their strikers stink but when it functions how Nagelsmann wants he's a bad fit.

Which is fair. But I wouldn't be pining over him like we missed a trick as he wouldn't have wanted to stay playing 2nd fiddle

He wouldn't play over Richarlison and would spend more time as a sub/squad player. Thats why he left us, and that's why he's gonna leave a champions league team.

So if he ends up at Fulham or Southampton...great. But the minute things start going against him, he'll jump ship

For starting wide they play very narrow. So it kind of isn't. It's more about the defensive ability. Lookman isn't lazy like people want to say he is but he defends like a winger which is different than say Sabitzer.

Thing is he wasn't playing because of Bernard and he absolutely should have been. A lot changes if we get his time here right I think.

No as in Sabitzer doesn't play as one of the 2 attacking mids.
