spot on, all who died were sons, brothers, fathers, husbands, friends. The sickening attack has left the world stunned, it has terrified the witnesses and brought to light the problems in the area! ANC should be pulled, it is not safe where they are!

Hayee I fully accept that this is an enormous crime but to stop the competition means those lives that have been lost would have counted for nothing and the terrorists will have got their way. If this was the European championship I'm sure it to would have gone ahead for the same that same reason, you just can't give in to terrorists........................no matter where in the world they are or how right or wrong there campaign is.................sad to say there must be a good chance of this happening again, I pray that it won't but also accept that it may

Monty, what if these terrorists get into the grounds and open fire on the fans and players? Life's more important

Togo FA are now saying that they will continue in the competition, even though their government wants them to withdraw, as they don't want to be seen as running away. What is going through the heads of these people?

If Fabio Cappello's right hand man and two other England officials were shot and killed we would be on the next plane home.

Something similar happened in the cricket 20/20 World Cup in Pakistan, the Sri Lankan team bus was attacked. The England team came home, even though they were not directly affected and the tournament was cancelled.

Different cultures, standards, morals.

So when the next terrorist demand comes in you roll over and allow it, no matter what, life is important, that goes without saying, but freedom from extremists is essential to allow that life to go on. We never gave into to the IRA, we never said people shouldn't go to Ireland, remember the 1972 Olympics, never give in to blackmail because if you do it will cost far more in the end

I didn't want the England team to come home and surely one match is of far less importance than this entire tournement. Moyes and Wenger both want them to stay..............for similar reasons as do the Togo players themselves

i agree giving in to terrorists should never be an option.

but the psychological trauma the players have been though must be immense.

i know but surely if it is to go on safety has to be increased tenfold, its not worth human casualties

I agree with not giving in to terrorists, but life is worth more than any sport.

Is it these days, these emerging nations in Africa would not agree because these events, especially the World Cup are huge, the kudos it gives the host country is immeasurable. In some parts of the world life is less precious unfortunately, the money being spent on the WC in S Africa is trillions that they spend on Aids.............hate to say it but that is the truth and we will be supporting that decision in going there
