The world does not revolve around us unfortunately. If we want to take their players, we have to deal with this. We can't really insist everyone else changes their schedules to fit in with Europe can we.
 
He makes a good point tho, the ACN was mainly a due to the lack of African teams that played in World Cups and such, but now with the World Cup having 32 places and the African teams being so much stronger and also playing mainly in Europe surely they need to have a re-think.
 
Why not? Many of the participants are under the payroll of european clubs. They have to protect our interest as well. If they play it during our off season, I'm sure it'll generate more coverage and more revenue for their football development.

100% Agree with this, managers, players, officials, fans and any other tool whinging about this needs to stop whinging and enjoy some quality stuff. I always enjoy this tournament often plenty of cracking goals scored with the air usually being thin at the venues.
4-4 yesterday FFS cant get more entertaining than that can you?
 
Pretty terrible what happened like, but at least this time Adebayor had common sense and didn't run towards the Gunners like last time

So we steal their best players, then ask them to do as we say regarding schedules? :lol:

Let them make their own decisions. :)
 
I think it has done a good job of showcasing the better african players to the european market.

There are now many quality africans plying their trade around europe; I think having it once every 4 years is reasonable these days. If anything; having it every 2 years, bang in the middle of most european seasons will put some people off signing african players.
 

Im not saying it should be scraped, im just saying that the posts have been moved and maybe there should be a re-think, every 4 years off season, if it cant be done, fine.

We didn't steal, they flock to us willingly. They can play till 80years old in Africa and they won't earn as much as they do in one season with us. It's all about money.

Same thing m8 to be honest.
It's still taking advantage on our part. What is left of African football when the west has taken the cream of their players?
If it was refugees coming to us for the money, would you feel the same?
