When it comes to Arty Ziff's professional opinions on a player, I'd prefer to listen to Ned Flanders.
That said, when it comes to Arty's, or any other manager's opinion on a player's character, i.e. the "Cantankerous Git" quote, alarm bells should start ringing as he seems more suited to the RS but certainly not us.

Just saying that we had a very similar discussion over bringing in Mcarthy and the main argument for the pro-Mcarthy camp was "Let's trust the manager, he knows what he's doing"
Like that was it and the people against the idea were supposed to down weapons immediately

If this is the character Martinez wants then I don't know, but one thing that has made this move all the more likely? Odds have shortened dramatically on him coming here.

i've been brought up to believe that Rangers fans are up there with murderers and rapists, so i don't see the problem.

Not exactly excited about this but bobby knows what he's doin and he'll probably be good cover. I haven't seen a lot of him in Russia so I'm not the best person to judge the guy but I just checked out his stats on wiki an the numbers are quite impressive.

Is he any good, seriously? Everyone rated him at Celtic but he's apparently been a massive flop over in Russia, hence why they're so keen to get rid. Last thing we need is another Naismith.
