Well said, the ability of forum fans to be so dogmatic without seeing lads in the Royal Blue goes back a long way (Carsley springs to mind). The business of having an opinion is fine but it's the sheer mind numbing unswerving BS without any knowledge that irks me.

But it's alright cos they come back a few months later saying "I've changed my mind !!!!!!" ... koff tools.

Some people have reservations, that's fair enough. He's a risk but he has talent and IF he comes it's up to him and the manager to try and use that in the right way.

Having reservations is one thing, but people who probably couldn't kick a ball straight in front of them declaring that Lennon and McGeady are garbage is laughable.

I get excited by boss FiFA players, I won't lie to you but it's not the basis for my opinion a lot of the time. Bodies in is usually a good thing, but a tricky winger with no end product further isolating our striker seems a bad idea to me. We've got a fair few players in a very small squad who don't pull their weight exactly already, another average signing wouldn't really contribute much.

I used to be the same with FM years ago mate lol, and i agree we need basically 17-18 outfield players who can slot into the first team without losing a lot, atm besides the starting best 11 we have maybe 4 in Oviedo, Stones, Alcaraz and Delefou who can do that, and one other who at least offers something from the bench in osman, so we need 2-3 more who can provide cover, competition and depth (Kone and Gibsons season enders where huge in reducing our squad depth)

I also can't govern a country mate due to not having any political background or skills, what i could do is tell you Margeret Thatcher was a disaster for the country, that David Cameron is clueless and a spineless **** and that labour sold out its values in the 90's

Then again i guess the forum should only be for people to post about player ability who have at least played at a championship or higher standard lol. P.S. most tv pundits where once pretty good footy players and most of them are terrible at judging players and games, meanwhile the better managers usually have not played at any significant level, just saying like

I suspect we will be treated to a striker who could rotate fairly easily with Lukaku, I'd like another midfielder preferably, a winger with some actual end product and then if any pennies are left, look at CB cover. It's all well and good bringing people in, but if they aren't genuinely going to compete for a starting berth, it makes no sense to waste the wages.

Thatcher really can be used to prove anything

Theirs a list of players i've stated we should be looking towards, like with everything though mate it all depends on what money we have available from the summer and what if any will be tapped into from the end of season revenue

Defour, De Bruyne, Bibras Natkho, Guidetti, Fernando (think that boats sailed in the summer), Batshuayi (Bizarrely i linked him in the summer rumor page although it was purely based on the Belgium under 21 squad with no informed knowledge really), all names that should be considered, chances of getting any of them depend on the finances though, for a striker we have to try the loan market from abroad for someone out of favour at a BIG team whose style would suit us and the league

Natkho is the Israeli lad right? I like the idea of him certainly. He's nearly free isn't he?
Our strength in recent times as a squad has been one that is small but extremely competitive within. I'd like to keep it that way. It means players get familiar quick, the group is tight knit and we don't notice an injury as much as like for like quality is kept. Continuity is important to us. It's why tweaking rather than overhauling tactics and tinkering with our squad is working so well for Martinez.

Aye mate, he's the muslim isreali playing in russia :) would be the ideal replacement for Gibson in the team and add huge depth and creativity in the middle of the park, and his contract has either run out now or is due to in a matter of days

Wiki informs me he signed a 4 year deal in 2010.
