It wont benefit our squad because we are replacing quality with rubbish - any players brought in should be at least of the same standard of the players already there, we're trying to push on

On a free on moderate wages though? In all seriousness, whilst I don't rate McGeady really, I can't think of anyone else we could get for next to nothing to provide backup.

It depends on the nature of the deal. If it were revealed as some sort of "marquee" signing in January and Kenwright used it as proof they're backing the manager, then that'd be ridiculous. But if it's a short term two year deal then I can't see the harm.

Work with some Irish lads so I asked for their opinon and they seemed to feel he was average at best

Neither of them said he's pants but neither of them sung his praises

Maybe he needs someone like Martinez directing him?

I mean, his main attribute is pace. Deaulofeu has shown that being pacy but not having much else can still make someone a viable part of the team. Maybe McGeady could be useful in a similar role?

Still back to my main point though, he's not (and i'm pretty wont ever be) good enough so why would we even consider him for us? gotta be better options abroad for starters

For £1-2m and on moderate wages i cannot complain. There is a part of me that thinks Roberto could get the best out of McGeady.

Probably not after him but someone we've been scouting in russia. Journos will have been told we're scouting someone in russia and put two and two together.

I'd love if he came and because Everton is so boss it transformed him from a super turbo gash winger into a Flashy Banging them in for fun hybrid winger/striker. I can dream though, i can dream...

Theres a couple of players id like from the Russian League. The likes of Doumbia, Danny & M'Vila id have here in a flash.

Alan Kasaev from Rubin Kazan too, lids a player.

And of course Dzageov, although there's about as much chance as me curing cancer as there is us getting him.

....some people would welcome this bloke, some wouldn't. Opinion is fine but all that really matters is who is on RMs radar. Once we have a few rumours as to who those players are we can then debate their worth with vigour.
