Aiden McGeady

I reckon Martinez is the man to get the best out of him if he does arrive.

I never expected Gibson or McCarthy to perform as well as they do, so why not McGeady?

I don't think he's a good footballer.

That said, do we have the money to sign a decent winger? He's on Silly money (£75k appaz), and unless he's will to drop to about £30k, which for me, is what he's worth, then i wouldn't want him. Strength in debt and all that, but he just reminds me too much of James McFadden, has talent, but far too frustrating.

Would rather tom Ince, and I don't overly rate him!

I just think with two names already basically conformed as available through their agents etc, in de bruyne and defour, theirs so much more potential to be ahad by spending a little right now for the reward it will bring, rather than going for the cheap gash option like in past years

from the reports, it would seem this could be an awkward signing, last thing the club needs is another player soaking up money for sitting on the bench..

Tbh mate defour has been very average for years now, certainly not lived up to initial promise. De bruyne I've not seen enough of to really have an opinion on apart from him being useless the other night.

Think your judging in names tbh.

McGeady playing well would be a massive asset but he's been rotting in Russia ever since he got sent there from Celtic for agitating for a move to England.
Would certainly be worth a look though as there'd be no transfer fee, tricksy attacking cover is always welcome.

Pretty much watched all the belgium games since we signed mirrales mate so seen a lot of de bruyne and a fair bit of defour, plus got friends who are season ticket holders at porto and they all mrate defour from their first hand watching of hoim whenever hes had the chance, not his fault he spent 2 years stuck behind moutinho min the pecking order their

Gibson and McCarthy had proven that they had what it took to play at premiership level before joining us - McGeady is as good as anyone i've seen at taking on and beating players BUT they up to now have mostly been cr*p players he has beaten and worst of all his end product is shocking, I just dont see how this is suddenly going to change, hope I'm wrong of course as I'm Irish and want him to do well for the Republic when he's invoved

Mcgeady under the right man manager (and i certainly consider martinez the right man manager) will be a top quality footballer. Under Martin O'Neill at Celtic (and in the one game he played under him for ireland so far!) he was excellent.

He's very dangerous and as bad as his final ball can be at times 1) it's no worse than deulofeu's is at the moment (as good as Gerard is!) 2) how many fantastic deliveries can you recall coming from Kevin Miralles (genuinely!) and 3) like players such as gerard, he's as fast as **** and will put teams on the backfoot which is both exciting for us fans and also fall very dangerous to the opposition.

Mcgeady would be a brilliant addition to the squad I have no doubts about it.

He's not been rotting in russia mate, he just isn't that good, and by tricksy if you mean no end product then he certainly is tricksy
