He's not been rotting in russia mate, he just isn't that good, and by tricksy if you mean no end product then he certainly is tricksy

Well, he was certainly Champion's League quality whilst at Celtic where he was over relied on to unlock defences in Europe.
Admittedly this was generally in the cutting in from the wing and blasting it rather than crosses, but he could certainly beat a few people charging into the box.

his pace allows him to beat people mate, but frankly its all he has going for him, he has a lot lot more negatives, main one being once he beats a man he tends to do sod all with the ball, he also is inconsistent as hell, is at times pretty uninterested, and runs down blind alleys the majority of the time, just no final end product

Fair do's mate, i honestly never saw him for celtic, only seen him since his move to moscow, just think for the wages were gonna be having to pay its a ridiculous waste to be paying McGeady close to being a top earner at the club (which given his wage at moscow he'd be on even with a substantial cut) when all he offers is pace off the bench

Nah, his Spartak wage was 2-3 times what he was getting at Celtic. It was the only reason he's put up with being sent to Russia.
Sure he'd happily drop back down to return from exile, plus there'd be no transfer fee.

Ah, I thought McGeady was 30

Yeah, 27 isn't too bad. He'll have a few years left on his legs for sure

And Kennedy is very pacey. I went to a number of Youth Games last year and felt both Kennedy and Springthorpe showed a lot of promise

I still contend that anyone who likes Deulofeu but then complains about McGeady or Kennedy need to reassess their opinon. I mean, they all essentially do the same thing. You can argue Deulofeu is quicker of course
