the reliance on almost robotic humanity is beyond my realm of faith.
road tolls are a pile of [Poor language removed], whos paid for the roads in the first place? the tax payer - road tax - petrol duty - VAT on the vehicles. Its just another gouge at motorists, but business is fine because it gets better rates on fuel and any fees incured on fleet transport. so joe public absorbs the hit for business whilst business also gets rich selling or supplying to joe public.

im a little surprised you are fine with law and order, if find it a most contentious and divisive area of modern day britain.

i am not defending government as it is now or has been before, the current lot voted themselves bumper pensions, less time in the job and more expenses. the persons providing it (the tax payer) had no say. the public wasnt considered regards iraq. the EU constitution is being bulldozed through. its one episode after another, but with no guarantees over a change in regime then we are looking at a pandoras box situation.
As for the wisdom of crowds, do you know what panic dynamics are? to use an example - fire in an office - smoke, heat, noise, lack of training, a panic situation.
so russia are sabre rattling, bombers are approaching british air space, have the people dedicated enough resources to defence? how is the law and order capitol decided upon? and is there margin in case of emergency?
britain isnt japan, theres no point comparing with hindsight or anything else. and just because a country doesnt commit force to a campaign they can sign a declaration that they lend support to actions of others.
