Alan Myers leaves Everton for 'personal reasons'.

Stop with all this garbage Alan has health problems & has left for that reason ONLY. I hope he can get well soon he is a lovely man & a great Evertonian

His tweets are very precise and, though conceding it was his choice, defo suggest this was not a smooth parting of the ways.

I said when he was hired that he was just the latest PR straight bat for the club's owners. And that's what the job is all about, tbf. So this is intriguing.

Again if he had health problems then surely one of two things would have happened.

1 the club would have reduced his workload or

2 given him time off.

Sickness leave and well wishes would have been the order of the day if he was ill.

They said in the club statement he seen his future elsewhere.

I want to swerve adding two and two to get five but I know a couple of people who worked for the club and know how inept they are on the inside so it makes me suspicious.

Anyway maybe it will all come out in the wash and maybe we've been folly to speculate.

I liked him doing that job for Everton and hope whatever his path that its a good one for him personally.

Back to jarg Riquelme stories on the front page of the site and general piss poor communication.

Yes all the best Alan why does there always seem a need for negativity & lets not forget he left once before & came back

There's negativity and sadness because he had such a great impact, and it is incredibly unusual for someone who repeatedly said they were in their dream job to leave so abruptly, unexpectedly, after just 6 months, two-thirds of the way through the season too.

Exactly. If he was getting out to go to BT Sport as was suggested earlier, then he would have gone in May, not in February.

Impossible to say why, or what has caused him to leave until Alan, or the Club reveal it, but sounds to me like his jobs become untenable, and he's not unwell like i'd earlier thought.

The tweet he sent to someone regarding 'needing to earn a living', suggests it's peculiar to say the least,

sure whoever takes over will have a strict do,s and donts and wont have the freedom alan tried to give out.always thought he over done the twitter thing even told him this would be on till 12at night needed to easeoff but he couldnt.

Lots of speculation going on at the moment, and a lot of jumping to conclusions.

We know very little in the way of facts over this.
