You've in three posts moved from "he gave possession away too much" to "he didn't have any impact in the final third" to "well he wasn't involved all the time." It's ok to just say you don't like the guy.

He was rubbish tonight mate, offered nothing in either final third. That just shows how mis leading stats are really.

Again though we can look at colemans involvement in the goal for example was the rest of his game good enough. If we win the game they can get away with it by all means.

Well there they all are so I'm not being misleading. You've criticized him for 3 different things in the span of 3 posts.

It’s nothing to do with effort, you’re right. It’s everything to do with a player with forwards instincts and who has never been taught or had emphasis put on positioning out of possession and dealing with movement of runners. Right mid in a defensive 4411 is totally, totally different to playing as a wide forward in, say a 433. He’s doing a job, is capable of good moments and good games but not a long term option in this formation/position.

We have a group of players that are ok in one position but as soon as we try and get them to do something else due to a weakness or poor performance in another position on the pitch, can't adapt to playing a different way. gylfi, iwobi and James best position is playing in a 10 role, gylfi is terrible playing deep, iwobi has had some ok performances wide but still not great and works but struggles defensively and James is great and a match winner but can go missing defensively.
I hoped more from Iwobi, he should be good enough to adapt, unfortunately he hasn't been so far.

I don't agree , I feel they were valid and unfortunately it probably won't be the last time they are valid either in regards to alex iwobi

Iwobi is like a lot of our players; not good enough if you want to be a top premier league team. Too much mediocrity at our club.

Tonight the first two were not. The third maybe, but only if you're holding him to a standard no one else hit.

Totally, comes back to poor recruitment and an unbalanced squad with a mish mash of players signed by different regimes, using different formations.
