I'm not saying it is always wrong, but the reason Kean didn't succeed is because he didn't really play. It isn't a Kean problem even if the club was in the right.

I do think he would improve if he were able to use his right foot which he uses almost exclusively to move toward the goal instead of having to go toward the corner flag or his own goal with it. Is that unreasonable? Apparently yes.
He clearly wont do what his manager wants, which means his attitude stinks and he should go and join another club as a matter of urgency.

Its a him problem, but sure, keep using it as a stick to beat the club with.

Can't do or won't do?

I mean I'm arguing that if the manager wants him to play RB he just can't do it. He's done ok there a time or two but Chelsea immediately identified that as a weak point, combined with Holgate especially, and exploited it.

You laughed when I brought up Mina yesterday but this is exactly my point, we wouldn't ask him to do something he can't do and blame him for not doing it.

The club's record of development is poor and they don't learn their lessons. When did DCL get better? When we stopped jerking him around on the flanks and stuck him up top for an extended run. He didn't even score at first but we persisted and now he's great.

With respect mate I think you understand football enough to know the difference between playing right or left isn't as vast as you claim.

Its understandable if he was say for example a Holgate or Godfrey, somebody who was doing a job, but lacked that little bit extra to be considered a natural.

This fella looks like somebody who has never played football before, not like somebody who is playing on a different wing.

Anyway, I'm done, we are going round in circles, hes an utter garbo footballer and the sooner he leaves the better.

For some players it isn't. For some it is.

how do we know from a cheeky insta story that he won't do what his manager wants. There's no way he would not listen to Carlo and if he doesn't then he'll obviously not get picked until the place he wants opens up! He can't be angling for no.10 - not this season at least .
I don't like it when we guess and then convict players for having a lousy attitude with very little evidence. Usually it's performance + their off field activities.

He's not been very good at his position, but he'll either get better, get moved to anew position, or sold?

I actually don't know why we bought him. Sigurdsson had just come off a 13 goal season and was always a first pick so AM was never going to be available. We had Richarlison and Bernard on the left wing. He can't play right wing as when a right footer plays there the main requirement is to be able to cross and I think he's had one decent cross the whole time he has played there. In a 4-3-3 I suppose he hasn't been tried as one of the 3 midfielders but he is an attacking player so would need to be able to score 1 in 4 games and I'm not sure he can produce them figures.

We bought him because we wanted Zaha and when we couldn't get him Moshiri had £35 million burning a hole in his pocket.

To be fair I didnt/don't want Zaha but maybe we should have got a right back even 18 months ago it was an obvious weakness. I know they had brought Sidibe in and hindsight is wonderful but he's an absolute millstone now.

So carlo is wondering where he thinks his best position is too, hopefully he agrees it should be in likes of qpr in a few months

On Iwobi's preferred position

Really I didn't speak, I read the post that he did and I would like to know his preferred position! Usually, I want to put players on the pitch where they are comfortable to play. If he has an idea, I have to know, I want to know

I have to tell him to tell me, I am your manager, tell me where you prefer to play! If he wants to play No.10 or No.9, I can put him there no problem.
I can adapt the system

Sorry for re-posting your info mate @Ring master . Don't want to be taking your credit!

But ouch....

Carlo funny and charming as always but we all know Iwobi thinks he’s a number 10, he’s just miles away from James and a long way away from Sigurdsson too if we choose to play with a number 10 which we often don’t!

I dont need any credit mate, its just there for people that dont see it Live or dont want to go looking for it elsewhere ;)

What a clown.

First put in some effort every game you play, then suggest you might contribute more in a more appropriate position.

He puts in effort only when he/team is doing good on the pitch. When it's not his day, he's off the radar. At least that's my view of him absolutely disappearing from the pitch every time he starts a game poorly.
