We have 6 young players.

3 of them, DCL, Holgate and Rico all fought for a place, improved and now they are getting games weekly.
3 of them cried like little bishes, 1 of them is about to get relegated, with his 4th club in 2 years, 1 of them is playing versus farmers and the other has just started a youtube channel where he attempts tekkers.

But sure, Everton is the problem.

If we're holding up Holgate that just isn't good enough imo.

And he has developed from the 17 year old we signed from league one into a decent premier league player.

Just because he isn't Baresi doesn't mean we didn't develop him.

We signed Kean last year, he didn't want to stay.

We signed Godfrey this year, he is developing.

I expect we will add one player of this age group each year and then try to improve the squad with some better quality players who can contribute immediately like this past window with James, Allan, and Doucoure coming in alongside Godfrey.

So we're satisfied developing a player into a below average PL player. Ok.

Doucoures Job is to break up play, win the ball, cover the gaps and genuinely be our legs in midfield. All of which he does superbly, iwobis job is to score/create goals, can you see why one of these players needs to pass forward more than the other?

But please attempt an argument to convince me otherwise. Laughter is good for our health.

He has but he's also not that good and I think he's playing his best position. I mean the only other option for him is also #10 and Watford tried that to less than stellar results.

I just think it is weird that people praise Doucoure constantly when he is miles worse on the ball than Iwobi.

Gylfi has 2 goals and 1 assist in the league if you take set plays away. Gylfi offers nothing in the build up. I really genuinely think we'd be better off having Iwobi play there even if it means he gets 5 G+As for the season because Gylfi isn't adding that much more when you factor out the penalties and corners that someone else could easily take.

And Iwobi would offer us more ball carrying than Doucoure I think. Abdoulaye's runs are great but infrequent.

Siggy was coming on
Carlo roared ,actually roared at Digne to leave the corner for Siggy

Iwobi legitimately may be the worst crosser of the ball I’ve ever witnessed at the premier league level. I have no doubt he’s probably a better #10 than on the wings.

Unfortunately for iwobi Carlo doesn’t see him there. So he should thank his lucky stars he actually sees the field and stop complaining on social media like a 16 year old girl. Otherwise he’s going to get a lot more time on the bench where he belongs.
