Against WBA Digne was set to take a corner
Siggy was coming on
Carlo roared ,actually roared at Digne to leave the corner for Siggy
We scored from the set piece ,cross second time around
James was not on the pitch
Is your point that Sigurdsson takes far better corners and is therefore worth playing even when he's doing literally nothing else? Because that's fine but I disagree.

He doesn't make us a better team when he plays so I'm never unhappy when Iwobi does not start.

Days are numbered here now and if Carlo can get rid then I'm sure he will

He ads a lot more than set pieces than Iwobi does
If iwobi stood out in his preferred position in training do you not think he would be played there
He will not get much game time next season if he is still here so its a moot point

Well that can't be true because nothing can't be a lot more than anything. As I said earlier today Gylfi averages 1 open play assist for every 13 games worth of play.

Iwobi obviously has not shown enough in training to be played centrally over other available options
I don't see training. I do see the matches and what I see I don't love aside from the jammy wins. A game like Chelsea was over as soon as they fluked that goal. I'd like to see us try things to be better.

If we're holding up Holgate that just isn't good enough imo.
Holgate showed last season that he can be an excellent centre-back if given a run of games there, and he also helped turned the form around post-Silva with his performances in midfield. Even now, as much as he isn't a natural right-back, he's doing well enough to keep things ticking over.

Iwobi, on the other hand, has never contributed anything of note to any team he's played for.

This has got to be the strangest hill that I've seen someone choose to die on.

When we have better players we will do better things
Players like Gomes Holgate Iwobi do not help us to do better things
Look at Chelsea's squad compared to ours
Most of Chelsea's bench get into our first 11

If he does go, I hope we can replace him with someone equally adept at winding up angry middle aged blues with innocuous posts on social media.

Tom Davies cannot bear the weight of being told he should be concentrating on his football alone.

So we're satisfied developing a player into a below average PL player. Ok.
You can't just snap your fingers and make him into Sergio Ramos.

Don't know how you can say Below Average when we are up for the Top 4. The league shows you they're not Below Average right now. They're just not top of the league which apparently is the only thing that would make you happy.
