Tbf he was playing like predator before … like when he’s got his camouflage on and you hardly see him do anything

Well in Alex.

He gets absolute pelters from blues at times and rightly so, but its hard not to like him as a fella. He's worked his socks off more often than not this season and you could see the emotion from him at the final whistle today.

Too me he always seemed very anxious and questioned everything he did. For him it is all about mindset. If he can be more confident and keep up the aggression, I think the form will continue.

He’s suiting that role in centre mid, he’s making up for the woeful lack of physical attributes, pace, ball progression of all the others. We’ve not had a midfielder who could carry the ball forward for far too long. Not sure he’s long term solution there but showing up what we’ve been needing in the midfield for a long time…and haven’t done anything about signing, obviously.

I definitely think he is a better fit there, but the biggest thing we need to continue seeing from him is his willingness to make runs off the ball and get in the box. He is a big danger and does well playing a target man in those situations. He just needs to actually be there. More often than not he was not in position or dawdling on the ball.

I have been a loud critic of Iwobi as many of us have but I thought he epitomised everything that was good about Everton today, he was excellent through out and showed real heart.
