I will hold my hands up. Had completely written him off as one of the worst signings in our history. The last month or so, he has shown guts, determination, a willingness to take responsibility and make things happen, energy and desire.

He has looked our best source of drive and has even bounced back from the West ham mistake - even though he'd done well in that game. He has been integral to the 9 points we have won under Lampard.

So Alex Iwobi, I salute you. Take a bow son. I didn't think a player could change my opinion so much, but you have. That is the standard. That is how you become a proper Everton player. Still a long way to go though, but really good progress....
Fair play mate. It would be great if everyone had this mindset.

I thought he did really well today.

I feel he needs the love. Not banners and songs, but just a little bit of “you can do it”.

He may get paid more than I’ll ever dream in my lifetime, but he’s only human like us, we need him to help us, and we know he’s capable of doing it.

Onto the next game Alex lad, put in your shift and it will be recognised.

Same, honestly couldn't understand how it was possible he made it as a professional footballer, looked scared to be on the pitch but really has stood up to the task the last few games, hopefully he can spark something playing in the middle

Great work rate and effort.
Just wish he’d find more of those passes. Picks the right ones but just seems to under or over hit them.

Lampard had revitalised him though no doubt. He finally seems to have settled on a midfield formation. Would be good to see Delph Allan Iwobi get a run.

He's done more in last 4 games than he's done last 3 seasons.

Is it enough to save his Everton career? Not too sure about that like but his workfare was tremendous today

I doubt anyone will take him. So he’ll be with us until his deal expires at which point we either move him on or offer him an extension on reduced wages.

If he can keep this level to the end of the season then they will be a good indicator but we’ve seen flashes of this from Iwobi before looking like he’d turned a corner only to be out the squad a few weeks later. He even did this under Lampard after the Leeds game. He needs to bring consistency but at least he’s standing up to he counted

Centre mid is his position, never in a million years is he worth what we paid for him. But if he plays like that until the end of the season and we stay up. He’s worth every penny ???

He was positive today and has been the past few games. He’s the only one that plays through balls for the full backs… I don’t mind him losing the ball in the other half of the pitch trying something that if it comes off, is going to create a lot of problems and chances. It’s the mistakes from being scared and in dangerous areas that annoyed me. Looks so much better as a cm as long as he keeps running and fighting and being positive he should stay in the team.
