I agree. Problem us fans have sometimes is selective memory, someone has a good game and the last 10 get forgot about.

Suppose it's the lady or the tiger for Everton. Whatever happens this season we need a basis of players to start from, can't sell the lot of them at once. Just the case of whether iwobi can be a squad player or whether the three years means he is worth more asba transfer fee?

Depends what kind of fee we could get for him.

Does that really matter though? At this point it's wages that are the issue. I'm sure we can get by with another minimal transfer style policy if it meant getting rid of a load of high earners all at once. So would iwobi bring more to this team than someone else in his position here next season?

Sell Iwobi, buy an Estonian 15 year old is Zats transfer policy, you cant reach him with reason.

For the record Iwobi is complete garbo, a few little wobbles around the pitch every 6 months aint convincing me.

I'll reply in the transfer thread

I remember when Carlo played him CAM against Burnley at home and we got overrun but he looks to be thriving in the middle now.
I don't think giving him a free role behind the striker was ever going to be the answer. He's a bit too sloppy for that, and it gives him an excuse to go missing.

If anything, he's been more like what Doucoure is supposed to be lately. Delph and Allan sitting so deep wouldn't have worked without his pressing and running with the ball.

You should forget them. All that matters is the present.

Yep. He's possibly my least favourite player of all time but if he can contribute to Everton staying up in he goes.
I still dont rate him that much. But we're 4th from bottom and quite frankly atrocious. Thats what level we are. If we were any better he and many others wouldnt be here.

Have we finally found iwobis natural position and way to play? Absolutely phenomenal yesterday. Not just his superb work rate and tracking/pressing but towards the end of the game he kept the ball very very well and had superb feet near the corner flag on a few occasions. I've always thought there is a player in there somewhere but have always questioned what he's actually good at doing. Maybe now I know. I just hope it continues.

It’s funny that even after a good win and performance you get people commenting things like “he did well but he’s still utter gash piss awful”.

That negativity is just in their blood.

Nah. Just not that fickle.
Saying that. For the first time ever as far as i have noticed he looks interested and enthusiastic. That goes a long way.

That newcastle goal was huge. Not just for the club. For him.

Fair enough, but to say it immediately after a win is a bit weird and smells of “lads I said he was crap first”.

I’ve not seen your post so this isn’t directly aimed at you.
