Just goes to show that workrate at Goodison goes a long way.

I remember last season when Carlo played him right wing back v Fulham away and he was brilliant! I convinced myself that was his position and he had finally found a spot he can perform! He was terrible after that

Then i remember him playing Wolves away with 2 number 10s (him & James) and he scored early on and thought he was excellent, he was terrible after that!

I'm made up for him as he seems a good kid, and the players and manager continually want to back him!
But i also have that thing in the back of my head..........do it for the rest of the season now!
And ill be even more made up for him!
I think he’s already in the middle of a slightly prolonged run of decent form compared to those times as IMO he played well vs Newcastle, West Ham and Burnley, as well as United.

The run here from 1.48 to 2.16 should be played over and over again in the dressing room at Finch Farm as the finest example of the minimum we expect from our players.

Oh whoops! i posted the same... that was nuts - ive never seen anyone do that.

I am loving his improved form, but despite all that running he never actually seems to make an actual tackle
Great touch for Gordon's goal though. And those through balls are pretty decent too.

Iwobi has always had me off my seat. Usually it's to scream at him.

He started the season like this and was unfairly blamed for any single misplaced pass. His work rate on Saturday was fantastic. Chasing down players and giving his everything. If I was DCL, I would've felt embarrassed after Saturday. He stood out like a sore thumb.

Let's hope Iwobi can keep it going!

beg to differ, I heard these actual words on the match commentary "that was a crunching tackle from Iwobi" , and it was, and he followed it up with two further tackles within the following few minutes, I like this version of Iwobinho.

We need to calm down. He owes at least 18 more months of consistent hard work and performances before he's even back on a neutral level for me after his quite frankly appalling first two years with us.

It's just another example of people going massively overboard about how good/bad a player is. I don't know why we don't learn. He's never been as bad as people make out and he's not suddenly turned into a worldbeater. He's an adequate PL footballer and he's performing like one. It's good to see him working hard and looking like he's enjoying his football, but he needs to produce more and over a much longer period to move out of the 'happy to get rid' category for me.
