He did what a 5 million championship player would be able to do.
I mean it’s not his fault we decided we would stop doing scouting and just buy a bit part player for 35 mill.
It really felt to me that was the game he finally twigged. You could see him realise he'd get the support he needs if he puts the graft in.
Goodison has really responded to that in his last few home games, and in turn he's kept it going.
But then again, maybe it's Lampard. Maybe he's figured out that getting him pressing gets him into the game.

No, DCL just isn't working anywhere near hard enough compared to the rest of the team.
And he seems to have lost the ability to control a football at the moment
I just don’t think it’s as mad as people make out though. He’s had 2 or 3 periods like this in his time here, the issue is that he hasn’t ever kept it up and sometimes when he’s gone off the boil he goes really off the boil. I thought up until around Christmas last season he was pretty decent including a couple of really good games but then he was poor later in the year. He’s never really looked like a good use of £30m (including now) but he’s not always been the complete waster he’s often painted as either.

Yes I’m not only surprised I’m amazed the way he has played in the last three game with, as you say, his form and effort and for fans to say he was never as bad as people made he was bleedin worse and, for me, a bottler with it. Now he looks like he is enjoying playing and wants to be involved all the time where previously he hid from the action, I think he’s been on a pilgrimage to Lourdes!!
