According to our players he's one of the quickest in the squad and most skilful. Got to say I've never seen either, he's bloody atrocious.
He either doesn’t commit to his runs or he just isn’t quick enough. I’d bet on the latter albeit he seems to second guess most things he does which is part of the problem. He doesn’t know what to do in a 1v1

Everything seems rushed because he's slow to react to begin with, slow with the micro movements that make the difference, cumbersome
he's a better option than Gomes though, who can't play and dribble in tight spaces
he's improved on last couple of seasons and is giving us more up the pitch
Well Iwobi played left yesterday so Gomes wouldn't have been playing there anyway

Gomes is useful to simply bring on from the bench to change our shape, but he was injured

We need far better than both of them, ultimately

I think he played well yesterday. And his link up with Gray is promising. He still needs to build up his confidence to get back to the level he can hopefully be on a more consistent basis. More performances like yesterday and hopefully a few goals will hopefully do the trick.

At least his contract expires before we get into the new stadium, if he ever wears a blue shirt in that stadium i think i will shoot myself in the face

I genuinely think he's absolutely thick, no common sense just an out and out stupid thick as a prick moron, his kids will be brain dead as well and will ultimately follow their thick as a whale omelette dad into some divy lucrative career that they should never deserve.
This dolt is a millionaire who when he's 32 will probably be sitting in his villa in some amazing place flicking his plums...

jealous.... Yup, but as I eventually head into my dotage in the next few decades I'll happily acknowledge that I have never once cheered this useless piece of garbage on, Marcel Brands cower your head in shame

So I'm guessing from your various subtle hints that you aren't especially fond of him?

He's an average player - he tends to slow down plays when he is on the ball. He has bags of tricks and have some talent. And I think he has positive impact on the dressing room (who knows)..But his problem is his end product. The frustrating part is we spent big money on him and he is probably on big wages too. I don't think too many clubs are interested in him. And it's frustrating that he is probably blocking the pathway for the likes of Anthony Gordon to break through. I don't see us selling him, but I don't hope we extend his contract either (based on his performance up to now), unless he starts banging in goals or assist regularly.

Its not the positions. The difference between Iwobi and Gomes (and GS) is Iwobi can dribble, pass and play between the lines.
Gomes rarely enters the fray successfully, if at all. Iwobi's not the 'top' answer but he's been an improvement on last season

Iwobi does work hard for the team and I think the manager appreciates that.
What he doesn't do is offer the creativity, the attacking pace or the goals that you would expect from a player of his type and his fee.

I think he is a useful squad player that probably won't start when everybody is fit , but then not everybody in the squad can start every game.

I think some here would have us keeping about thirteen players in the squad and sell everybody else.
What we have to do is strengthen the squad rather than weaken it.
