It's not weird at all. He's got the pace and strength to dominate in the middle of the park. He can dribble at defenders and he's gotten 100% better as a passer. I used to yell at the TV when he was on the ball because he'd piss away possession but now he's showing his nous, you can count on him to read the game and do the right thing. Which in our case is to always get forward forward forward - I start to PTSD when I remember Schneiderlin and Sigurdsson stopping ten yards past the half-way line and passing sideways to each other for two minutes. And his workrate is off the charts.

All that needs to be in the middle of the park, right?



That is just wasted on the wing.

Frank has done wonders with him, but I don't get sticking him out there.

Was he not deployed in a midfield the 3 yesterday? The fact he ended up tracking runners on the wing was down to the fact none of them got a grip of the game. Especially in the second half.

He's one footed is a big part of it. When you are one footed that foot has to be able to go toward the center or you can get squeezed out. I think he'd be passable on the left but he's just never doing it on the right.

I agree but Coleman at rb really hampers us.

At least Iwobi at rb gives us some legs and allows Garner to come in alongside the engine room of Onana and Gueye

Ideally Holgate will be back soon and can slot in so that iwobi can stay at cm
