He's been in the side during our most painful period. He offers nothing.

Doucoure is more defensive but is more effective. Why do you honestly think we will miss him?

Also never forgiven him during his first two years walking off with clean shorts smiling.
Can you name me a player that creates more chances than Alex in our current side?

You're confusing me saying we will miss him and me thinking that he is a very good player. Our current side is tripe, but among the tripe, he has brought chances, which a lot of the others do not. Hence, why we will miss him more than people think.

In the context of our current squad, missing him and him being a very good player are not mutually exclusive.

Looks like he is on his bike, had a good patch for us couple of years ago, but generally, especially the early days it was horrible to watch.
I remember Alan Ball saying in an interview, think it was about Mcmanaman, a player can have as many touches as he likes , but it's his last touch that matters most. I tend to judge players on this thought . That's where he falls down IMO, runs and runs, but his final ball isn't good enough.

Fair play for Onana he’s really put a massive shift in this month for us, fair to say he’s not going to create another big chance all season though since literally no one can live up to the creative mastery of Alex Iwobi clearly.

I know they’re old now but imagine being the likes of Andreas Iniesta or Cesc Fabregas knowing you had the pleasure of sharing a generation with such a one of a kind talent, a true master of the football.

Onana. You can see in the tweet within the post above.

I award this signing 2/10. Probably the one most synonymous with the Moshiri era: far too much money for far too little in return. Utter show pony with zero end product 99% of the time.

If we could get £15m for him it would be an early Christmas miracle.

That all said, I reckon he'll end up staying. We're not that lucky.

I completely disagree with this. I think iwobi is one of the few players who has actually lived up to his price tag in the last 4-5 seasons. 28 million wasn't he? Although his goal/assist return hasnt been anything special he has always given effort and been a solid 6 or 7 out of 10 player for us. If he was to leave it would be a loss for sure.

Every manager who has come in has picked him and its because he is a good team player with a good work ethic and good physical attributes. The only reason he would be sold is because of his contract running down at the end of the season. I personally would say unless if we could get 12-15 million for him I would just allow his contract to run down as without him we would have been relegated the last few seasons for sure.

Very underappreciated player by some but definitely offers something positive for us.

Whatever his attributes are - good engine and that's about it for me - what is undeliverable is that there is no end product in terms of goals and assists.

Can you blame them?

There are thousands of footballers all over the world going to work every day being challenged, tested, developed and improved by good coaches.

Dyche has proved over a decade that he does not develop or improve players. He has ruined careers. Focusing on things that are ignored by all the brightest minds in world football. Showing no will to change. Blindly trusting the ancient methods that he got Burnley relegated with twice.

The players must seriously hate their job these days. Defend in a low block, play long balls and play the worst football in the league. Show no ambition with the ball. Wait for the trademark boos from their own deluded fans.

I fully understand why Iwobi changed his mind when it comes to signing new contract. He deserves so much better and will for sure improve better teams than Everton.

Mate , Dyche has been here for about 20 games… iwobi has been dog turd for 130 out of his 140 appearances for us.

Don’t think you can blame dyche for that tbh

90% of the time Iwobi has stunk the place out....

Too many touches, no end product, always bottling out of challenges.... may run around like a headless chicken but that's about it!

Had a purple patch last season for half a dozen games, and remember him having a half decent game at RWB a few seasons back when we thought that would be his best position.

Other than this he has been utter tripe and a waste of money.

I will cry if we don’t end up selling him today. Giving us some hope of gettinh 15/20m this this fella and having it snatched away will be too much.

Whatever Alan ball says is good enough for me.

Loves upto his price tag?

30m gets you a decent player unless it’s Everton that’s paying it.

At 27 and over two different clubs and about 7 different managers…. Nobody knows what position he should be playing.

He can’t kick a ball properly and that’s a massive concern for a creative midfielder imo
