Sorry to butt in on a blues only forum but this rumour seems to have legs. I don't know if it's completely true but I heard about it on Monday night and thought twas just the usual doom and gloom when we lose a game .

Usmanov is an Abramowich style club owner with bigger pockets than Roman Abramowich. If it's true then I would expect your lot to move up a few notches and start competing with City and Chelsea.
I can understand it being true as who'd want to put hundred of millions so into a club and have no say at all in how it's run.

We'll be stuck with the f'ing toupee wearer and his annual £3m dividend for doing the sum total of sweet FA.

Banned from RAWK ?

Business relationship - they still have one, just not with Everton. I've got bezzies I do plenty with but I might not invite them to share my toilet time, for example

"blocked at Arsenal" - or biding his time? Either way, it's still and incredibly safe investment, not like he is locked in to a long term losing position.

'Right character only' - Bill Kenwright has been quoted as describing Philip Green as a 'friend of Everton'. I'm not sure he's too bothered mate. If he'd been able to sell to the DIC and keep his chairman role he would have, and they are every bit as a sinister and ruthless as Usmanov.

Public expectation and prices going up - what do you think happened when £100m warchest tosh was circulated? And come on. Moshiri is a billionaire too. The price got marked up for him too. I have to say, if I knew Usmanov and his associates were involved, I'd be rather keen to charge a fair price, lest I got a visit from some rather less friendly negotiators. Let's be honest, I don't think expectations have been managed well at all so far - you've only got to see the mayhem yesterday's tweet caused for what turned out to be a 3rd shirt and pub quiz.

There's no reason at all for Usmanov to join us and to do so would be more complicated than he probably feels it is worth.

There's every reason for him to join, as I said will try do a piece in more detail over the next day or so when not typing off my phone whilst watching pepper bloody pig!

dont the Watford owners family own about 3 clubs, all under different members (son etc), so surely there is precident

and didn't peter Johnson (shudders) gift tranmere to his bird when he was forced to sell us or them?

I might be well out like, but yeah

Watford owners own Udinese, Watford and Granada I believe.
FA don't want owners owning more than one club in England I think.
Basically the Watford owners buy and sell to themselves for decent rates lol
Chelsea are no better, they basically own Vitesse Arnheim and flog their kids to them and get a loan fee as a source of income for each season. Surely something to do with FFP @The Esk ?

Think arsenal fans are more than welcome to chip in on this thread mate.

Be an interesting dynamic should it happen.

Right now there is a few hundred thousand blues organising a #KeepKroenke protest to the Arsenal board.
We take full responsibility for any low budget aircraft sporting a old bed sheet to the rear over The Emirates for your next home game.

Your Welcome.

I can see this happening, especially when Moshiri bought the club and it was reported as Usmanov. I've always viewed Moshiri as the man to lay the foundations, scout ahead so Usmanov knows the score.

The only thing I can think of that stops this is who does Usmanov sell to? Obviously Kroenke is there but is he really that arsed when he's aiming to make tonnes more of money from fair weather L.A. fans of the Rams in the NFL?

As long as they are not from that Arsenal TV *insert correct title here* they have after every defeat (so it seems). Just a load of idiots crying for Wenger to retire and Arsenal to sign a load of players with fancy names to appease the fanbase.

Much like Liverpool do. Blow £700m or Get dem Yanks Out.

Even if he came in,he wouldn't be able to splurge wily nily like Abramovich did from 2004-2012 and City from 2008-2012

FFP stopped that happening, those splurges can only happen if you have big enough turnovers and fit the criteria for spending a percentage of your turnover, wasn't long ago when PSG and City were fined heavily and threatened with expulsion from the CL for spending way beyond they could on fees and wages within the confines of FFP to their turnovers. With a turnover of 120 odd million in the last books it would be impossible to spend 100 million plus under ffp with such a mediocre turnover in one summer.

If he came in he would have have to rush a stadium through to increase matchday revenues, and use his own companies to sponsor the club commercially the same way Mansour has done with City and get the turnover in the £300-£400 million bracket,It should be noted City have spent £157 million this summer and haven't sold anyone yet, they have gotten away with that because their turnover is around £350 million,If Usmanov came in he has to increase turnover by another £230 million to be spending that sort of money in one transfer window.

Also some guy on a blog wrote this article and the online editions of the papers have just copied and pasted it word for word.
