Confirmed Signing Allan

And in the future that maybe a good model to follow but right now we need a different approach to fix the mess we are in. We basically have too many older players that are not good enough for the premier league and where we want to be, and this is what needs changing right now to improve.
That would be a different approach, imo.

The reason I'm not a DOF is I have no freaking clue who actually would be good, but when names come up I'm able to do some research and give an opinion on that. I liked Hojbjerg a lot so that one was unfortunate.
Allan is off the scale compared to Hoybjerg.
Ive never ever even noticed him playing for Soton , and i watch way too much footie.
But he's younger lets sign him eh.

In an ideal world we would all like to buy or bring through young players to add to the likes of richarlison and Holgate. And let the team grow and evolve. But if we don't buy quality experienced players for the here and now to make this team competitive now, those 2 players will both be away within 2 seasons. They are not going to wait around they never do. Then we are back to square 1 again.

We need a mix of young potential players and experienced winners at their peak.

And we are buying both which is good as we want to be competitive sooner rather than later.

Don’t completely disagree with you because in the future that’s the way to go.

This,

I believe Carlo is aware of this too

Well he's better than Winks and Sissoko

Hmmm.

You've compared him to two players he isn't really similar to though.

FWIW I think he would have been a good signing, but Sissoko's role in that Spurs team has basically just been as a box-to-box midfielder.

He can play that role but he's far less athletic than Sissoko, so I imagine he'll be used differently.

However, he isn't as good a passer as Winks, so I'm not sure he'd be used in that deep-lying playmaker role either.

Like I said, think he's a good player and would have happily had him here, though I have to say I'll be happier with Allan coming in.
