See how he plays - then comment a novel concept I know, but hey, it might just work.
That’s fair enough Degsy, over the thirty minutes he plays he’s not great but does two or three things okay, it’s the other sixty minutes that worries me, after the final whistle he really comes to life as the cheer leader, he was born to be one of those!!

I like Onana as a character and he has some good attributes as a player, and undeniably huge potential if he can add some technical aspects to his game. But it's not a given he does so, and if the opportunity comes to flip him for a decent profit after one season then reluctantly that is the model that's going to get us out of our financial troubles.

The problem, as others have pointed out, is that with a large purchase price still owed to Lille plus a 20% sell on it needs to be a really big offer that gives us the sort of profit to make it worthwhile selling. 60m is barely worthwhile, you're looking at 75m to make a really substantial profit given how much of that goes to Lille. And I'm not sure if the big clubs go there for him yet.

I see we're in the "he was crap all along" phase of Everton support, in preparation for his inevitable summer sale. We shouldn't sell him (unless we go down, in which case sell everybody).

I think a few were laughing about me saying if Caicedo is worth £80mil (that had been quoted, after £70mil was rejected) then Onana isnt far off that.

Then the media began with Arsenal/Chelsea links of £62mil - £70mil...

But some posters are freely admitting they cant see anything in his play. I think its more on them than anything else.

Hope hes moved to DM next season and contract is extended.

I think most posters are saying there's potential, but isn't that what we were all saying about Tom Davies in his first few months? A lot of people mistake potential as being a certain path to the top of the game when it's never that simple.

Even look back to when Fellaini was here and how highly we rated him. When he turned up at United he looked completely out of his depth to begin, I think that'd be the same with Onana right now. Honestly, at this moment in time Doucoure is more important.

Arsenal in constant contact with his entourage eh? Isn’t there a name for that whereby you get a fine from the PL. Rhymes with “fapping cup”?
