I dont think we did. We payed money for a player to advance the midfield. How many 21yr olds dominate the premier league. Let alone in their first season. If someone bought him and said now go dominate the premier league i'd call them deluded.

Well your argument is you wanted an instant hit the ground running success. Im not going to argue with that. The counter argument is we have bought a player who looks to have potential. As opposed to buying players in the past like allan who were past their best. Or doucoure who cant even do the basics.

I think James Garner is standing out a lot more than Onana, only a year older than Onana it is also his first season in the premier league and he missed two or three months with an injury, he never goes missing played in a few positions yesterday and took a yellow to stop a Wolves attack late in the game yesterday where Onana had let the Wolves player pass him on the way to providing the goal for Wolves.

Garner has played nearly 100 games in England.
Onana started 11 games in france. Thats his career basically. Apart from the german 2nd division.
