Can't agree more with that statement...selling onana only helps with cash flow, not so much ffp. If he is sold, then we are in serious trouble as clearly moshiri doesn't want to put any more money in the club with msp money all going to the the stadium...all in all not a great picture. We need new owners ASAP.He has a sell on fee of 20% and we paid 30 million for him.
If we have paid the 30 million already and we get 55 million for him we’ll get 44 million net.
Not going to bore you with amortisation but whilst it’ll help cash flow it’ll only be a 20 million profit for the accounts.
Anything we get for Pickford is close to pure profit for cash flow and accounts which may make it more likely.
And HolgateKeep the 2 of them ....sell Iwobi & Gray.

He's not a holding midfielder x
Chelsea paid £75 million for Fofana last summer. A promising 21 year old defender. That should be the benchmark for what we ask for Onana, a promising 21 year old midfielder.
The 20 percent sales clause changes everything for me. If we keep him one more year I can see his price soaring as teams are desperate to add promising central mids. You get the right price- okay. I’m not a fan of selling low just because big figures are going around. Somebody will overpay- there is always a club desperate to add an unknown potential like him.
Thats precisely what he is and always had been before joining
Probably because Lampard + Dyche have almost always used him out of position to "improve his all round game"I see him more as a box to box player personally.
Or to acomodate GueyeProbably because Lampard + Dyche have almost always used him out of position to "improve his all round game"
selling mate and then hoping replacements are better isIn an ideal world then yes keep him in the hope he morphs into the player he thinks he is next season.
But we need cash now just to tread water and hope we can get an extra 10 points or so next term. otherwise its groundhog day for us again
Onana a higher ceiling than Caicedo for me.Chelsea will be signing Caicedo instead of Onana you would imagine.
If £55-65m aren’t huge numbers what do you consider a genuinely big offer? He's only been here 12 months and the figures being mentioned aren't exactly huge.
I'd be looking for another season from him with the agreement he can leave next year to a genuinely big offer. If he kicks on we should get one.
